It's an unusual role reversal for an English lad to join a Spanish club so it's an exciting time for Elliot and there's no doubt given his attitude, that he'll take the opportunity with both hands

We are delighted to confirm that Elliot Kebbie has joined Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
The deal ends months of speculation following Elliot's decision not to take up his scholarship with Leeds United during the summer.
Elliot, 17, spent time last year training with Barcelona but it was Atletico that have reached a compensation agreement with Leeds United and Elliot has now put pen to paper at the Vicente Calderon.
Head of Football, Tom Brookes believes it's a great move. "Elliot is now at a hugely important stage in his development and it is imperative that he's in an environment where he has the opportunity to improve his technical and tactical skill sets, " he said.
"Atletico have a very good track record with developing their youngsters and providing a clear career pathway. Elliot is a fantastic athlete and we believe Atletico will take his attributes and improve all aspects of his game."

Elliot said: "I'm thrilled and honoured to be joining a club of the stature of Atletico. The staff and players have made me feel really welcome and I already feel part of something special here. I'm looking forward to learning a new language and culture and learning my trade in a fantastic environment."
