Dean was signed by Middlesbrough in 2008 after being recommended to the club by first-team goalkeeping coach, Stephen Pears.
Dean has since been called up to the Greek U17 national side and made his international debut for them against Serbia in December 2009 – despite still technically being an U15.
Middlesbrough moved Dean up a year and he now plays consistently in the U16s, he has also been involved in the U18s set-up.
He is also an esteemed athlete who is recognized as the 7th fastest 200m 15 year old in the UK after reaching National Athletics Championship Final at Don Valley Stdium, Sheffield.
Dean is an agile, brave goalkeeper with good shot stopping abilities, a good decision-maker and above all, an excellent work ethic.
