- Biography
Kearyn is one of the most promising young midfielders to come out of Australia in many years.
Born in Durban to South African parents, Kearyn moved to Sydney at the age of nine where he played for the Blacktown City junior teams.
Kearyn then joined the New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) Academy and developed his game under the guidance of Jean-Paul de Marigny.
After a brief spell in Sydney FC's A-League youth team, Kearyn was offered terms in Spain and France but it was the infrastructure and clear pathway as well as the success rate of the French Academy system that meant Kearyn agreed to join Le Mans 72 in September 2009.
Famous for producing players such as Didier Drogba, the coaching staff and everyone throughout the club at Le Mans hold Kearyn in very high regard.
Indeed, Kearyn's natural technical ability, movement and vision was also highlighted by the staff at the prestigious french technical centre in Clairefontaine.
He has appeared three times for Australia U20's and will be involved in their competitive qualification matches in 2010 and beyond.
Kearyn also has a terrific temperament and work ethic and has a bright future ahead of him.
