- Biography
Clint is a vastly experienced goalkeeper who has made more than 400 club appearances and has 4 caps to his name at international level for Australia.
Clint signed for Brisbane Strikers when he was 17, joining from the Australian Institute of Sport, and went on to achieve a wonderful record of 51 clean sheets in 178 appearances for the club. He went on to enjoy a similar successful period at Sydney Olympic and eventually signed for his recent club, Sydney FC in 2005, where he has played for the past five seasons. Clint's high level of consistency has been fundamental to his success as a professional.
Clint is a commanding goalkeeper who is fast and brave off his line, has good handling and excellent decision-making ability. He is extremely assured and has a calming influence on the defenders in-front of him.
Shodowing fellow compatriot Mark Schwarzer, Clint at 34 years young has just completed arguably his best season so far on a personal level whilst helping Sydney FC to both the A-League Championship and winners of the A-League Final. This resulted in a call up to the Socceroos in March 2010 and he has done everything he can to be selected for Australia's World Cup Squad.
Clint is a genuine professional that looks after his body and is in the best physical condition of his career so far.
In April 2010, Clint joined new A-League side Melbourne Heart FC.
