Born to an Irish father and Australian mother in Sydney, Australia, Liam is a highly-rated young goalkeeper who joined Liverpool FC in early 2009.

Liverpool were clearly impressed enough with Liam's development and mental strength to hand him his debut at reserves level against Blackurn Rovers in August 2009, just a week after his 15th birthday. This, along with his performances at different youth levels, spawned significant interest from a range of clubs.

Already standing at 6'3 tall, Liam has a commanding frame and is an excellent shot stopper. For someone so young, he has composure and maturity beyond his years and his consistent performances have attracted the attention of national team scouts from Ireland and down under.

In 2010, Liam joined Manchester United FC where he will be given a great opportunity to fulfil his undoubted potential.
