- Biography
Although he holds a British passport, Trent was born in Sydney, Australia and played for Parramatta Power before being signed by West Ham United in 2002 at the age of 16.
In August 2004, at just 18, Trent made his senior debut for West Ham. However, his debut was to be one of only a handful of games he was involved in for the Hammers and after being frustrated by a lack of first team opportunities, Trent took the chance to go on loan to MK Dons. Trent quickly became a first-team regular at the Dons and went onto make over 40 appearances for them in the 2005-2006 season.
Trent left West Ham at the end of his contract in 2006 and moved to Hereford United FC where he quickly settled and then established himself on the international scene as part of the Australian Under-23 set-up where performed in the 2008 Beijeng Olympics.
In 2008, he was snapped up by Hamilton Academicals FC in the SPL where he has since earnt the reputation as a competitive defensive full-back that is particularly strong in man-marking situations.
Trent is a first class professional and is highly regarded by the Hamilton fans for his consitently committed performances. As of Summer 2010, Trent is now with Scunthorpe United.
