Mark is a talented young midfielder and is a product of the renowned Crewe Alexandra youth system. A consistent goal scorer from midfield, he was instrumental in Crewe’s Under-18 team reaching the FA Youth Cup semi-final.

Mark broke into the first team at Crewe in his first year of turning professional at the club. Despite a good start at Crewe, it was the 2008/9 season that he started to get a regular first team run putting in some consistent performances and bagging a couple of goals in the process.

In June 2009, Mark opted to leave Crewe when his contract expired and he was signed by Paul Ince at Milton Keynes Dons in July 2009.

Mark is technically adept with good distribution and has a fantastic engine. Coupled with his work ethic and application, Mark has the potential to play at a higher level if he continues to develop with experience.

During the 2009/10 season, Mark has appeared in 22 games scoring 5 goals and he has already noticed his game develop under the guidance of former England International midfielder Ince.
